If you have experienced miscarriage or infant loss – or the loss of a child at any age, first let me say I’m sorry. My first pregnancy ended with a miscarriage at 11 weeks gestation, and that experience changed me forever. No part of me was left unaltered.
My body changed. My heart changed. My mind changed.
I was the first within my circle of friends to lose a baby, and I had a million questions including:
- What could I have done differently?
- Other women don’t want kids, but I do, so why?
- How do I move past this? Do I want to move past this?
- Will I ever carry a baby to term?
- Do I even want to get pregnant ever again?
- What if I’m broken?
- Will I see that baby in heaven?
- How do I help my body heal?
- When can I resume exercise?
I felt so lost and oddly ashamed of my questions. When I dared to ask some of them out loud, most people didn’t know what to say to me or how to support me.
So, I also felt very alone.
This course won’t answer all your questions, but it will offer you comfort. It may help you form questions you didn’t know you had. It won’t help you “move on” from your loss – because none of us want to leave our babies behind – rather, it will help you “move with” the grief you carry.
It will help you process.
It will help you move again – safely and gently.
It will help you reach out when you’re ready.
It will help you externalize and find words to help those closest to you HEAR you.
How might this short ecourse help?
We expect this course to help people in different ways on many different levels. One thing we are certain of is that recovery isn’t just emotional, nor is it just physical. However, as we serve thousands of women worldwide, we have seen a trend toward various aspects of healing from being ignored by professionals in the health and fitness realms. We believe this holistic course will literally help you “move” during and through and with your grief while helping you frame and process it in new ways.

- Morning Moves – This peaceful routine provides soothing stretching motions to ease you out of bed on hard days.
- Red Redemption – Gentle motions and redeeming verbalizations, originally filmed as part of our Color Series.
- The Grief Recovery Routine – Full body exercise routine with a licensed physical therapist with experience in core rehab.
The grief routine was the catalyst for creating this course. We filmed it with Kelly Dean, physical therapist and founder of The Tummy Team a few years ago, and it has blessed thousands of women worldwide. Kelly, the instructor, has 3 children earthside, and she has experienced 5 difficult second-trimester losses. Her clinic in Camas, WA provides specialized core rehabilitation for people recovering from infant loss, core weakness and dysfunction, diastasis recti, hernia, prolapse, incontinence, and abdominal trauma.
Who contributed to this course?

All of the contributors to this course have traveled the journey of miscarriage, late term pregnancy loss, still birth, and/or infant loss.
