Maybe it’s the hush of falling snow or the quiet cubicles missing employees spending their “use or lose” vacation time. Maybe it’s the fact that everyone is going to Christmas parties and not the fitness gym. Maybe it’s that spending is directed outward and not inward at this time of year … But things are sure quiet on the health scene right now.
This is me and my kids leading a pack of riding reindeer at a club where I teach indoor cycling. Staying creative is super important during the busy Christmas season. But perhaps most people just assume they can pick up where they left off later: Just make a New Year’s resolution and all the truffles and treats and sitting around at office parties will just melt away. Well, I hate to break it to you (no I don’t) but not taking care of yourself during the holidays is the worst gift to give yourself and others. Don’t skip your workout routine just because Santa is sledding through town. Make like a reindeer and keep flying!

Right on, girl! We will feel better and sail through the holidays unscathed, if we give ourselves the gift of consistent exercise and healthy eating. Good one, Bethany.
