Dana Hilz is a physical therapist working in Washington State, specializing in orthopaedic physical therapy. She obtained a doctorate of physical therapy degree in 2004 from Northern Arizona University, preceded by a BS in physiological sciences in 1999 from the University of Arizona. Dana started having eating disorder issues in 1996, which developed into anorexia nervosa.  She had numerous bouts of outpatient and inpatient treatment, and was decisively on the road to recovery in 2002. The physical and emotional recovery process has taken many years, but today she is healthy and happy. Dana is committed to sharing her story and helping others in their recovery from eating disorders.  She is exceedingly grateful to Mirasol Eating Disorder Recovery Center in Arizona for their compassion, generosity, and expert care and guidance.
