WEEKLY CHALLENGE:Β
Green is for growth, and “Gertie” is what I named my biggest kettlebell. So, get your grabbers on a KB that will grow your limits because you’re about to learn some power lifts to strengthen your legs and back. You’ll also need something light, long and straight for the warmup!
Featured Routine: Green Gertie
Parallel “Daring” Workouts:
I’m choosing the following similar workouts based on how they felt to me when I filmed them, so perhaps the parallel for these daring workouts existsΒ only in my head. Filming them felt like I was accepting a dare. They dared me to step outside my comfort zone to meet the needs and requests of all of you, and they took enormous amounts of practice and concentration for me. They may or may not feel very daring to you, but know this: These are just a few that stand out in my memory for how I filmed them while feeling scared of failing.Β
Moving Thought:Β As I wrote the above paragraph preceding the parallel workouts, it occurred to me just how daring I’ve had to be to launch Fit2B, continue to create workouts, continue to put myself out there, run counter-current, and risk criticism and cancellations. I’ve had plenty of both. I also have you and thousands of others who dared to trust me and my team with your fitness. It’s been daring of me to keep showing up when neither my messaging nor my shape matches any other “fitness model.” It’s daring of you to press play on each of my new creations. I hope you enjoy the results of my daring, and if you’re here because you’re NOT feeling daring (and you need a pep talk) then give this a read after your workout.

P.S. Here’s one of the most daring things I’ve ever done next to having children and starting Fit2B… I climbed the South Sister in Bend, Oregon less than a year after spine surgery! This is a pic of Chris and I with the mountain in the background. We climbed it with our spouses in 2018.
